Lovely rooms. Very comfy and cosy bed.Gorgeous breakfast. Wendy was a very welcoming owner. Very gorgeous house. Very pristine and had the original windows which were beautiful.

Wendy has the most delightful b&b with beautifully restored rooms and bathrooms. We had a wonderful stay. The breakfast was superb and Wendy is keen to help with special needs-in our case kindly storing our bikes in her garage overnight. Highly recommended !

We were 2 couples who stayed the third night ( of our cycling tour fromEdinburgh to Aberdeen ) in this lovely Art Deco style house . We received a very warm welcome from Wendy who sorted out secure bicycle storage for us in the garage, made sure we were comfortable in our rooms and offered us some fresh milk for our tea. She was very helpful in her advice about where to eat that evening in Montrose. Our room was very nicely furnished with a comfy bed and a welcome hot shower. The next morning we shared our breakfast table with two other convivial guests and all enjoyed a delicious cooked breakfast with rolls or toast, accompanied with tasty home made jam and marmalade.

Dad and I had to come up to Montrose for a family funeral and my Auntie suggested The Hermitage to us. Upon arrival we were made to feel very welcome and we settled in nicely. Both my room and Dad's room were very comfortable and clean with nice fluffy towels. The breakfast on both mornings was lovely. If we need to come to Montrose in the future we will definitely try and book again at The Hermitage. Wendy also went to the trouble of posting back Dad's suit which we had left behind. Thank you very much.

What a wonderful stay! Clean, comfortable and convenient, the Hermitage is a charming inn. Wendy is delightfully hospitable and made our stay very enjoyable. Good tips on the local eateries, etc. and a fine breakfast. I'd be back in a flash if I had the chance. We are very satisfied customers!

Four of us on a short golfing trip spent two nights in this first rate B and B. Wendy looked after us better than our wives would and her breakfasts were to die for. Nothing was too much trouble. We will certainly use The Hermitage again and recommend to anyone who is going to be in the Montrose area.

What a lovely place, beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, good modern shower room, hot shower and comfy bed.
Very nice breakfast all in all one of the nicest B & Bs I have stayed in.

Lovely clean accommodation. Our room had a very comfortable double bed and a brand new modern bathroom. The lounge and dining room is lovely and bright. Had an excellent sleep and then a very tasty breakfast. Wish I could have taken home a jar of the raspberry jam. Host very friendly and accommodating as well. Would highly recommend and we will stay here again next time.

An excellent B&B accommodation. Superb breakfast with a good choice in an elegant house. The location was very quiet and no problems with parking. Who can ask for more? We would definitely recommend staying there.

First time we have ever done B & B in a Guest House. This was superb, we could not fault it .. breakfasts were great and the location was ever so quiet ... also ever so clean. Next time we visit Montrose this is where we will be staying.

"John and I know the Montrose area really well and have holidayed there for many years in our caravan . We booked a short stay and loved the house - the style , decor etc. Breakfasts were fab - best porridge I've ever tasted . We hope to be back for another visit soon . Thank you Wendy :-D
